Review | The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time at MK Theatre

On Monday night, I was invited along to Milton Keynes theatre to watch the multi-award winning Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time. The play is based on the best-selling novel by Mark Haddon, which I really wasn't a fan of, so I really wasn't sure how I was going to find the show, but thankfully it didn't disappoint.

Travel | My New York City Must-Dos

Today, I have a slightly different post for you, having been on two trips to New York, once in Summer and once in Winter, I thought I would share with you the things I think need to be done in the city.

Nails of the Day | Barry M Gold Coast

I was recently scrolling through Instagram and saw a post from Barry M showing some new colours in their original formula and there was one that stood out to me and I just thought 'I need that colour', so after asking them what it was and getting my answer, there I was, skipping down to my local Boots (okay, not quite, more like the next time I was near a Boots) to pick it up.

Review | Wonderland the Musical at MK Theatre

Ever since I went to London with my mum a few years ago to see 'whatever was on' and got tickets for Jersey Boys, I've been a fan of musical theatre. I really don't go as much as I wish I could because let's face it, it's not a cheap hobby, so I was thrilled when I received an email from MK Theatre to see if I want to attend the opening night of Wonderland the Musical, it was a no brainer.

Before watching the show we were invited along to have a backstage tour led by the Company Stage Manager, Alex Adamson, a pre show Q & A with the lead actress, Kerry Ellis, and pre-show drinks in the Ambassador's Lounge alongside other members of press.

Recipe | Slimming World Risotto Primavera

If you're following me on Twitter, you may already know that I am currently doing Slimming World, if you don't, then you do now! One of the things I've really come to enjoy since starting Slimming World is cooking from scratch and trying out lots of new and different recipes. There are quite a few recipes that I keep going back to but recently I've been trying to make at least one new recipe a week, this particular week I thought I would try the Risotto Primavera from a recent magazine. Carry on reading if you want to find out how it is made.

Nails of the Day | Sensationail Jade Treasure

I recently had a break from gel nails and actually ended up having a long period of time where my nails stayed bare. I eventually got round to doing my nails but just did them with normal bog standard nail varnish, as soon as this started to chip I knew I wanted to start using gels again and I knew exactly what colour I had in mind.

Food | Turtle Bay - Milton Keynes

Oh look, I did that thing where I disappeared off the face of the earth again, sorry about that guys! I'm really struggling with my blogging mojo recently and no matter how many times I promise myself I will write a post it just never happens. But a couple of weeks ago I joined the MK Bloggers for a meal at Turtle Bay, so hopefully these wonderful ladies have given me back some blogging motivation.

I'd heard of Turtle Bay before but never actually visited, but if you've never heard of it before, it is a Caribbean restaurant where you can expect a lot of spice. I was the last person to arrive but when I did, I found the other ladies around the bar taking advantage of the cocktail happy hour but unfortunately I was driving so could partake in this.
